My Thai Bride has been selected for Hot Docs 2012, screening in competition in the International Spectrum Program.
Hot Docs is the Canadian International Documentary Festival, North America’s largest documentary festival. The festival will be held in Toronto from 26 April-6 May.
My Thai Bride will screen three times at Hot Docs:
Friday 27 Apr, 7:00 PM at Innis Town Hall
Saturday 28 April, 4:30 PM at TIFF Bell Lightbox 2
Saturday 5 May, 4:00 PM at The Regent
My Thai Bride has been selected in competition for best mid-length documentary at the 24th International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (16-26 November 2011).
“I’m really excited to be selected, especially as it is our first long film. Obviously, no-one could wish for a better launch than IDFA.” said Producer/Director David Tucker. “I’m sure I will be very nervous watching our film with such a discerning audience.”
David will participate in Q&A sessions at the film’s screenings. Also attending the screenings will be Ashleigh Hooker (writer/editor) and Ted Rees, one of the central characters of the film.
